Job Description

We are seeking a talented and versatile Staff Accountant to join our expanding financial team. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work across multiple accounting functions, utilizing a variety of cutting-edge software platforms to support our complex financial operations. From preparing financial statements for our diverse business entities to managing accounts receivable and payable, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our growing enterprise. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements for various entities within our company structure, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions across our diverse project portfolio
  • Utilize multiple software platforms including Spectrum, Aspire, QuickBooks, and FreshBooks to maintain comprehensive financial records
  • Play a key role in month-end and year-end closing procedures, collaborating with the controller and accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce risk across our multi-division operations
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities, contributing to the company’s long-term financial planning
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to support management in evaluating project profitability and overall business performance
Requirements
  • Proven proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms, with specific experience in Spectrum, Aspire, QuickBooks, and FreshBooks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and present financial information to stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation, with the ability to apply this knowledge across various business entities
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes as our company continues to grow and evolve
