The opportunity:

Advantage Dental + is seeking a skilled software developer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that support our dental practice and dental insurance business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

How you will contribute:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design, develop, test, and implement software solutions

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using C#, ASP.NET Razor, HTML, JavaScript or other technologies

  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement complex features and enhancements

  • Collaborate with end-users to demonstrate work-in-process functionality and refine software products based on direct feedback

  • Produce documentation for software including inline documentation, data dictionaries and testing guides

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code that is scalable, reliable, and secure

  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues and provide timely solutions

  • Develop and maintain automated unit tests to ensure code quality

  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

What you will bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software development using Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, REST/SOAP Web Services, JavaScript

  • 2+ years of experience working with Git code repositories

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other SQL technologies

  • Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns (especially Domain Driven Design & SOLID principles).

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development

  • Experience in a health care or dental care IT environment

  • Experience with enterprise software systems

  • ASP.NET Blazor, Entity Framework (or other data modelling frameworks) or WPF

  • Unit Testing in Visual Studio

  • Git repository management or build pipelines in Azure DevOps

  • Scrum, Kanban or other Agile methodologies

  • Azure Cloud or AWS software deployments & architecture

  • HL7v2, HL7v3, FHIR or other healthcare data transaction standards

Salary Range: $78,200 - $117,300

Your actual base salary will be determined based on your unique skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location.
