The Opportunity

Our client, a government agency in Florida, seeks a  seeks a skilled IT Technology Consultant to assist in successfully implementing Microsoft Intune and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) within their Microsoft 365 (M365) environment. This role requires expertise in cloud-based device management, compliance enforcement, security policy configuration, and data governance to enhance cybersecurity measures.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and implement Intune policies to replace existing Group Policies, ensuring seamless deployment for remote users.
  • Configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) with Conditional Access for Global Admin and Admin roles.
  • Define device compliance and configuration policies to align with best security practices.
  • Manage bulk provisioning and Azure AD device joins for Windows systems.
  • Implement geofencing policies to restrict device access based on location, ensuring data security even for off-network users.
  • Enhance Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online.
  • Develop sensitivity labels and automated classification policies to prevent unauthorized data sharing.
  • Establish Attack Surface Reduction (ASR) policies to mitigate cybersecurity threats.
  • Conduct stakeholder training on Intune and DLP functionalities to enable IT staff self-sufficiency.
  • Provide project documentation, security reviews, and optimization recommendations.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a contract position, for a limited amount of hours (estimated 100) over five months. Compensation is commensurate with experience, up to $100 per hour. Please note that this role is fully remote and does not require any travel.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT consulting with expertise in Microsoft Intune and DLP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 E3/E5 Compliance, Azure AD, and Intune policy configuration.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint management, cloud security, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with Active Directory integrations, automated provisioning, and mobile device management (MDM).
  • Hands-on experience with DLP enforcement strategies across Microsoft 365 services.
  • Excellent documentation skills, with a focus on security, compliance, and governance policies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
