More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Mechanical Engineer in Egypt with Signify.

This role is responsible to assure optimal and safe operation of the assigned parts of the equipment, by means of preventive
acting and adequate reactions on disturbances to realize a safe and efficient production.
Execution of all planned preventive activities according to schedule incl documentation and reporting
Contribute to structural improvements based on technical knowledge and practical insights
Decides on the method and sequence of work, and does this in consultation with the Supervisor
Decides whether parts with abnormalities should be replaced or should be modified.
Monitors that during all production situations, the work is being done according to HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and
Quality) procedures and legislation, to prevent accidents, physical harm, and environmental damage
Submit and execute improvement proposals for further development of machines and machine parts to increase machine availability and reduce maintenance costs
Keeping ERP systems up to date in case of (parts) usage
Instruction/coaching of co-workers on working methods and knowledge
