Key Responsibilities:

Ready to shape the financial future of cutting-edge products? We’re seeking an FP&A Manager – R&D and Product Operations to join our team in Boston or London, with 80% remote flexibility (on-site for key meetings). If you’re a finance leader with a passion for optimizing costs, driving profitability, and partnering with Product and Engineering teams, this is your chance to make an impact in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

 

  • Analyze and optimize costs associated with delivering services for current and future products, focusing on customer support operations and R&D expenses.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison between the Product Development and Engineering teams, driving strategic financial discussions and resource allocations.
  • Manage headcount tracking and planning for the Product Development and Engineering teams to align staffing with budgetary and project needs.
  • Lead pricing and margin analysis for all product offerings, developing strategies that enhance profitability and market positioning.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and guide the forecasting process, providing insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee and report on critical financial KPIs, including Gross Margin Percentage (GM%) and Utilization rates, to monitor and improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Work Location & Schedule:

Boston or London (80% Remote; required on-site for certain meetings)  

 

 Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in finance management within technology or product-focused industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are advantageous.
  • Proven expertise in COGS analysis, R&D cost management, and pricing strategies.
  • Strong skills in financial modeling and proficiency with advanced financial software.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform cost and margin analysis in a dynamic product development environment.
  • Effective at leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across various departments.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines.
