Job description

Position Title: Sr Salesforce QA Engineer
Type of hire: 12 Months
Location - Houston, TX (Remote)

Salesforce QA Engineer to join our team and support the Salesforce platform in the utility industry. This role focuses primarily on testing to ensure high-quality customer interactions, seamless workflows, and optimal user experiences. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing Salesforce Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Experience Cloud, with a strong understanding of customer journeys in a utility environment.

Key Responsibilities
· Test Planning & Execution
o Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for customer-facing Salesforce applications.
o Validate workflows, UI/UX, and integrations with third-party systems.
o Conduct functional, regression, exploratory, and UAT testing for Salesforce configurations and enhancements.
· Defect Management & Quality Assurance
o Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
o Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
· Collaboration & Communication
o Partner with Salesforce administrators and developers to ensure successful deployment of changes.
o Work with business teams to understand customer needs and translate them into test cases.
o Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
· Continuous Improvement
o Advocate for QA best practices and suggest process improvements.
o Assist in defining test strategies to optimize manual testing efforts.
o Contribute to test documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.

Required Qualifications
· 12+ years of experience in manual QA testing with a focus on Salesforce applications.
· Experience testing Salesforce Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Experience Cloud in a customer-facing environment.
· Strong understanding of utility industry customer interactions (billing, service requests, account management).
· Familiarity with Salesforce data models, workflows, and configurations.
· Hands-on experience with test case management tools (TestRail, qTest, Zephyr, etc.).
· Proficiency in using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect-tracking tools.
· Experience with API testing using tools like Postman (a plus but not required).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
