Specialist IS Business Systems Analyst-Technology
What you will do

In this vital role you will join Amgen’s Technology organization as a Product Owner, leading strategic programs within Global Infrastructure Services to enhance cross-functional workflows and operational efficiency. You will drive demand management, stakeholder engagement, and executive alignment while fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Your leadership will ensure seamless collaboration across global teams, optimizing technology integrations, process automation, and agile best practices to support business-critical infrastructure. With a strong focus on innovation and operational excellence, you will play a key role in aligning technology solutions with business needs and driving long-term success.
Position Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Serve as the Product Owner for infrastructure services, overseeing the full lifecycle of program delivery from visioning through execution
Lead SAFe Agile initiatives—including PI planning, DevOps practices, CI/CD, and process automation—to drive continuous improvement
Establish and nurture robust relationships with cross-functional business units and Technology partners while collaborating with executive leadership to align strategic priorities and ensure effective program execution
Manage demand processes to prioritize program initiatives and support program planning and resource allocation (internal and external) for efficient delivery of capabilities
Champion initiatives to build continuous learning and development programs that empower teams and enhance operational excellence, including facilitating training and enablement sessions to drive the adoption of best practices and innovative technologies
Work collaboratively with business partners, end users, and technology teams to capture, document, and validate business requirements and design integrated process workflows that improve transparency, auditability, and operational efficiency
Leverage agile methodologies to introduce process improvements and automation that optimize program delivery and system performance, coordinating with enterprise teams to implement automated regression testing and other quality assurance measures
Delivering Results
Provide leadership in coordinating and supporting cross-functional teams within infrastructure services, ensuring seamless collaboration, alignment, and operational efficiency across various business units
Drive workflow enhancements necessary to support efficient operations and improve transparency across Amgen’s processes
Collaborate closely with Technology, other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and execution of program initiative
Maintain active engagement with executive leadership to provide program updates and align on strategic priorities
Enable learning and development by fostering a culture of continuous improvement through cross-functional engagement, knowledge sharing, and training initiatives that enhance team capabilities and drive operational excellence

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Information Systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant experience in program management, infrastructure services, or enterprise technology within a global organization
SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Agilist (SA) certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification
ITIL Foundation or higher certification
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Product Owner (CSPO) certification
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or equivalent foundational cloud-related certification
Strong background in SAFe Agile methodologies, PI planning, and DevOps practices
Experience managing demand pipelines, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement at an executive level
Proven ability to drive learning and development initiatives in a cross-functional environment
Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure services, cloud platforms, and IT operations
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a highly matrixed organization

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
