Job Mission
Terraformation is on a mission to restore forests and tackle climate change by scaling reforestation worldwide. As a Program Manager, you'll lead a portfolio of forest restoration projects across the Philippines, working closely with local partners to turn ambitious climate goals into action. You'll guide projects from design through implementation, ensuring partners have the tools, knowledge, and support to develop high-quality carbon projects. Your work will help accelerate global reforestation while creating lasting benefits for ecosystems and communities.
Job Type: Full-Time (40hrs a week), Contractor (1 year, Renewable)
Location: Remote; Philippines
ResponsibilitiesOversee a portfolio of forest restoration and carbon projects, serving as our partners' primary point of contact.Co-develop and implement work plans to ensure successful project execution, from feasibility studies to implementation and reporting.Guide partners through key documentation, training, and data collection to meet carbon standards and restoration objectives.Strengthen relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders to support project success.Improve internal processes and reporting to enhance efficiency and impact.Travel up to 33% to visit partner sites, provide hands-on support, and ensure smooth project execution.Identify risks and challenges early and proactively solve problems.Minimum Qualifications7+ years of experience in project management, forestry, conservation, or related fieldsExperience with forest restoration, carbon projects, or environmental programs preferredBachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's preferred)Strong project management skills, including experience using CRM platforms, spreadsheets, and databasesAbility to collaborate across cultures and work closely with local communities and partnersFluent in English; proficiency in Bisaya, Tagalog, or other local languages strongly preferredAbility to lead complex initiatives and drive measurable impactBonus QualificationsExperience developing privately financed carbon projects in the PhilippinesKnowledge of ancestral domains, indigenous peoples, and local communities engagementFamiliarity with government agencies involved in reforestation, such as DENR and NCIP About Terraformation
