Job description

ABOUT OMBRAZ:

Propelled into the eyewear scene via an Indiegogo campaign in 2018, Ombraz is shaking up an industry that hasn't seen a significant design shift in over 200 years by solving many of the inherent issues we’ve all experienced with eyewear. Since launch, we have won over 70 ‘Best Of’ Gear Awards and the armless design has emerged as a gear-favorite in the active lifestyle space.

We’ve got zero interest in shipping plastic around the world without delivering a substantial net-benefit environmental impact. Through our mangrove reforestation efforts - each pair is 1,714X carbon-negative, making Ombraz the most carbon-negative product available on the planet.

We’re building a fully remote team of masterminds to push the boundaries of normalcy and drive impact.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Building and nurturing meaningful connections are at the core of our growth strategy. Transparency, education, and trust are key pillars of that strategy. We want Ombraz on the planet’s most epic humans—ambassadors, creatives, affiliates, and key strategic partners and publications. We're looking for a charismatic, highly organized individual who embodies the Ombraz brand. This silver-tongued wizard will collaborate with our team to identify, develop, and engage Ombraz communities and niche verticals—catapulting the brand into an industry ripe for innovation.

ROLE SPECIFICS:

    1. COMMUNITY BUILD and MANAGEMENT 
      1. Manage the community/brand awareness budget
      2. Manage a seeding budget
      3. Curate and develop meaningful, value-driving relationships with the most epic of humans.
        1. Improve and implement Ombraz seeding strategy on all relevant channels
          1. Get Ombraz on one big-time, influential person and drive value with that activation.
      4. Manage the Ambassador Program
        1. Define, develop, and execute a scalable ambassador strategy 
          1. Manage discovery and outreach. Use a targeted approach to increase ambassador diversity.
          2. Activate and engage existing Ambassadors
            1. Determine communication channel
            2. Monitor communications
          3. Develop and implement tracking metrics to ensure partners are fulfilling commitments and every seeded pair of Ombraz generates value
          4. Determine seeding targets based on four core niches
      5. Manage Pro Program
        1. Develop a strategy to engage and activate pros
        2. Build a scalable structure for dealing with/infiltrating key pro communities:
          1. Outdoor industry guides
          2. Fishing
          3. Mountain
          4. Kayak
          5. Climbing
          6. Search and rescue
          7. Flight instructors and flight schools
          8. Recreational hotspots
          9. Lifeguards
          10. Ski resorts
    2. EDUCATION
      1. Develop revamped/streamlined education (how to wear, tips and tricks) tactics for all partners
      2. Ensure education tactics are implemented across each vertical
      3. Test method and measure engagement and success
    3. CONTENT CURATION
      1. Streamline process of content curation with Social Media Engagement Associate and Marketing Manager
      2. Discover and aggregate key content coming in from Ombraz Community
      3. Strategically seed pairs to drive aesthetic value
    4. SOCIAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENT
      1. Manage Social Media Engagement Associate
      2. Engage, build, and execute on key partnerships and ambassadors within Youtube and Instagram
      3. Develop Youtube and Instagram comment education/engagement plan
    5. PR and AFFILIATE PROGRAM
      1. Develop a scalable affiliate strategy for athletes/ambassadors 
      2. Seek out and close on key opportunities
      3. Co-manage Avantlink with Darby (Ombraz’ PR Agency) 
      4. Build a process to identify and integrate PR wins, awards, quotes, and videos into marketing calendar for paid, organic, and web storytelling
      5. Set PR KPI’s
    6. STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS  
    1. Ensure Ombraz has a presence at key industry events through brand partners and relevant athletes/influencers 
    2. Growth partnerships
      1. Document key relationships with brands.

7. REPORTING, ANALYTICS, and DOCUMENTATION

      1. Work with Marketing Manager to align efforts with marketing calendar
      2. Work closely with brand awareness metrics
      3. Ensure all processes, tools, how-tos, etc. are documented and refined with Marketing Manager
      4. Ensure all seeded pairs are documented and the seeding process is followed
      5. Propose and present KPI’s for this role
      6. Manage total return on ad spend
      7. Measure return on community/brand awareness budget

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to communicate the Ombraz voice effectively

  • Results-oriented with the ability to calculate ROIs and reallocate resources as needed to drive value
  • A thorough understanding of PR calendars
  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce
  • 2-3 years of experience managing affiliates/ambassadors
  • An in-depth understanding of what it takes to succeed on Instagram, YouTube and other digital media channels.
  • Experience organizing & executing marketing campaigns with multiple parties and in-house team members
  • The capacity to effectively communicate brand goals and vision to partners
  • Hyper-awareness of current events and local/global issues and the ability to navigate & leverage them effectively into brand communications.
