Summer Intern – Product Operations /Product Management

A Product Operations role in an identity protection company focuses on optimizing processes, tools, and data to help product managers (PMs) and UX designers build and improve identity security products efficiently.
In this internship program, working alongside the Product team, the summer intern will learn to:
Process & Workflow Optimization
Develop and streamline product development processes to improve efficiency
Standardize documentation, workflows, and best practices for product and UX teams
Data & Insights Management
Collect and analyze product performance data (e.g., fraud detection accuracy, user adoption, engagement rates, etc.)
Support PM and UX teams with data-driven insights for decision-making
Maintain dashboards to track key product and user experience metrics
User Research & Feedback Integration
Document and formalize user feedback loops from customer support, sales, and marketing
Observe user testing sessions and assist UX designers in research synthesis
Ensure customer insights are documented and shared across teams
Tooling & Documentation Management
Manage and optimize tools like Jira, Confluence, Product Plan, Figma, and Lucid Spark
Maintain product documentation, ensuring teams and users have access to the latest updates, e.g. audit, update, and maintain our subscriber focused Frequently Asked Questions in Zendesk
Create and manage templates for product specs, UX research reports, and competitive analysis
Potential Projects for the Product Intern
Update subscriber facing FAQ updates to include recent product enhancement details
Competitive feature and design intelligence
Document workflows for the AIP software development lifecycle
Data dashboards to track objectives and key results for all GTM 26 initiatives
Update and maintain the AIP Survey Confluence Inventory
Participate in all product team meetings
Document intake protocol to support commercial requests for Reprise demos
Update product catalog to include features descriptions
Develop product team onboarding objectives
Depending upon skill and the candidate’s area of interest, additional areas of learning could also include:
Wireframing & Prototyping
Create low-fidelity wireframes to visualize product ideas and concepts.
Support UX designers in building interactive prototypes in tools like Figma.
Assist in documenting design iterations and feedback from stakeholders.
Product & UX Documentation
Maintain documentation of product specs, user journeys, and personas.
Assist in preparing presentations and reports for product team updates.
Organize product and UX documentation in tools like Confluence
Competitive & Industry Research
Conduct competitive analysis to compare features, user flows, and design patterns.
Research UX trends, industry standards, and best practices in identity protection.
Summarize findings and present insights to the team.
Qualifications:
Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program; preferably a rising junior or senior
This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology, user experience, and growth strategies
An interest in product management and preferably can demonstrate that interest through past school or side projects, work experience, or knowledge about the field
An interest in designing intuitive user experiences and simplifying complex workflows
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and inform product decisions
Interest in growth strategies, A/B testing, and product-led growth
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced environment

Work Environment: Except for our Customer Care roles which necessitates onsite work, most other roles are remote. AIP is a remote-first company; however, our roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location
Physical Demands: We primarily collaborate with our colleagues through virtual meetings and office collaboration tools. Employees will have to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery, as necessary. Employees must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
