Job Title: General Ledger (GL) Accountant


Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm Pacific (12:00 AM to 9:00 AM Manila Time) with an hour unpaid break

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing various aspects of the general ledger, including accounts payable (AP) GL management, prepaids, fixed assets, lease accounting, and debt accounting. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial records, support month-end and year-end closing processes, and assist with ad hoc accounting tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Oversee AP GL management, including reconciliation of prepaids, fixed assets, lease accounting, and debt accounting.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and reconciliations related to assigned GL accounts.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks and projects as assigned by management.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
