Raytheon’s Legal, Compliance, and Contracts (LCC) organization is seeking an experienced counsel to join our Global Ethics and Compliance (GEC) Investigations team. The Associate Director and Counsel, Global Ethics and Compliance Investigations is responsible for leading investigations related to allegations of potential violations of legal and regulatory requirements and/or Raytheon’s Code of Conduct, drafting disclosures and/or reports regarding verified violations (as applicable), and coordinating with business stakeholders to assess root cause and develop corrective actions. The GEC Investigations Counsel conducts internal investigations of allegations regarding certain government contracting laws and misconduct matters such as allegations of retaliation, harassment, and financial fraud. Reporting to the Senior Director & Associate General Counsel for GEC Investigations, the selected candidate will be a member of Raytheon’s GEC team within the LCC organization.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and conduct all aspects of investigations of potential violations of Company policy and/or law including certain government contracting laws and/or policies
  • Provide counsel on legal and regulatory issues that arise in connection with GEC investigations
  • Analyze allegations and investigation findings to determine regulatory and other external reporting requirements and drafting disclosures and reports for submission to government agencies and/or internal stakeholders
  • Partner with stakeholders to conduct root cause analyses and develop, manage, and validate effective corrective action plans
  • Partner and work collaboratively with members of the GEC team and stakeholders across the Company to provide investigation status updates and report on trends, compliance risks, and corrective actions
  • Assist in the development, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of Raytheon and RTX policies, standard work, and processes for investigations
  • Domestic travel to Raytheon sites up to 20%  

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) and 10+ years of legal practice experience, with 7+ years of investigations and/or compliance experience
  • Experience with government contract investigations and disclosures (e.g., False Claims Act, time charging), and/or corporate ethics and compliance matters (e.g., Code of Ethics, workplace misconduct)
  • Admittance to the Bar of at least one U.S. State
  • Experience conducting and/or managing internal investigations and drafting disclosures with minimal daily supervision, and experience briefing matters to business stakeholders
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Ability to prioritize a complex workload, to work with minimal daily supervision and to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Familiarity / background within an aerospace and defense and/or manufacturing environment is preferred

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
