As Senior Director of Product Management for Teaching & Learning you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and go-to-market strategy of several premium capabilities in the Teaching & Learning portfolio. Research, definition, prioritization, and communication are core and critical to the ongoing success of this role. You will be the go-to person for any questions or communication related to these premium capabilities and must work closely and effectively with the numerous and varied teams and individuals contributing to the product, including product design, engineering, quality assurance, marketing, sales, sales enablement, and support. 

 

The successful candidate must possess the skills needed to develop, market, and support the product to current and prospective customers. A successful candidate must also have an ability to define and articulate new product requirements based on market intelligence and research, internal feedback, and their own understanding of the product space. 

 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Deeply researching and understanding the problems of instructors and students, and being able to accurately and thoroughly articulate requirements which strive to solve the problems identified
  • Prioritizing requirements based on quantitative and qualitative evidence in a manner that best supports Anthology’s business goals
  • Defining go-to-market pricing and field enablement strategy for each premium capability
  • Communicating to customers and internal stakeholders about the product itself, upcoming releases, and product roadmaps
  • Coordinating closely with other divisions of Anthology to ensure cohesive solutions and capabilities
  • Working closely with the senior product leadership team to inform the strategic direction, the Teaching & Learning roadmap, and touchpoints with other parts of the Anthology portfolio
  • Obtaining feedback from users, customers, sales, engineering, and other constituencies
  • Maintaining awareness of trends in education and technology, as well as competitive positioning
  • This role requires approximately 25% travel

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 12-15 years of prior related experience
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams including building collaboration and consensus among diverse teams of peers, experts, and senior management
  • Ability to working in an ever-changing, collaborative, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work through conflict to meet objectives and maintain strong relationships across teams with different work styles and personalities
  • Ability to effectively deal with a certain degree of ambiguity/autonomy and capable of making sound business decisions
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
