Position Title: Project Manager
 
Location: Remote - LATAM.
 
What you will be doing:
 
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to support our infrastructure, security, and cloud teams. This role requires strong Jira expertise and excellent English verbal communication skills to effectively manage project tasks and collaborate with technical teams. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of data migration and cloud infrastructure but does not need deep technical expertise. This is not a development role, and the candidate will not be managing developers.
  • Serve as the Jira expert, organizing and managing tasks for infrastructure, security, and cloud teams.
  • Assist team members in logging and structuring tasks in Jira for better workflow management.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure projects stay on track and tasks are properly assigned and updated.
  • Implement and manage Kanban workflows (no sprint management required) to enhance project organization.
  • Facilitate project tracking, ensuring that all deliverables and dependencies are clearly documented.
  • Maintain clarity in communication by ensuring that technical and non-technical teams are aligned.
  • Learn and adapt to cloud, security, and infrastructure terminology to enhance efficiency in project coordination.
  • Implement a project communication plan.
  • Conduct risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Benchmark project management performance continuously to identify the
  • potential for improvements and increase capability in project and portfolio
  • management.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • From 2 to 3 years of progressively responsible IT experience, with sensitivity
  • and commitment to business problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Jira (ability to create, manage, and optimize tasks and workflows).
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure, security, and cloud concepts (no deep technical knowledge required but familiarity with terms is a plus).
  • Experience with Kanban project management methodologies.
  • Experience and ability in using “soft skills” or “people skills”
  • Good understanding of current and emerging technologies, and of how other
  • enterprises are using them to drive digital business.
  • Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment in which this role
  • may not directly control resources.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an IT infrastructure or security environment.
  • Exposure to data migration and cloud migration projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with international teams.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively across different time zones.
  • Highly motivated to build upon existing work and set new benchmarks.
  • Takes responsibility and drives projects forward with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (essential for interacting with high-pressure technical teams).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of working independently.
  • Candidates should be comfortable learning technical concepts on the job.
