Job Category

We are looking for a highly skilled Web Developer with strong experience in building and optimizing landing pages using WordPress, Gutenberg, and various front-end technologies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both the technical and creative aspects of page design, coding, and optimization. This role will work closely with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to develop high-performance, responsive landing pages that deliver outstanding user experience and drive conversion rate optimization (CRO).

This role will be based out of Mexico.

Responsibilities

Convert design mockups into functional landing pages using WordPress and Gutenberg.
Build custom layouts, blocks, and templates within Gutenberg for flexible page designs.
Optimize pages for user experience (UX) and conversion rate (CRO), focusing on visual hierarchy and call-to-action placement.
Write clean, maintainable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to style and animate components.
Ensure pages are responsive across all devices (mobile, tablet, desktop).
Improve page performance by optimizing code, compressing assets, and integrating caching/CDN solutions.
Test and troubleshoot landing pages for cross-browser compatibility and performance using tools like Google PageSpeed and Lighthouse.
Develop custom post types and taxonomies for specific landing page structures.
Integrate forms, APIs, and third-party plugins as needed (e.g., contact forms, email lists).
Ensure pages meet accessibility standards (WCAG).
Regularly update WordPress, plugins, and ensure security best practices.

Requirements

Proficiency in WordPress, Gutenberg, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
Strong knowledge of website optimization techniques (e.g., image compression, lazy loading, caching, CDN).
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, and data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, heatmaps).
Knowledge of security best practices and plugin management in WordPress.
Experience building custom Gutenberg blocks and templates.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with DevOps tools like Docker and Webpack.
Familiarity with server-side technologies and hosting environments.
Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).
Experience with third-party API integrations and custom WordPress plugin development.
