Job Summary
As part of the commercial team, the principle function of the ADTS (Application Development & Technical Service) is to provide a world class Technical Service for all ColorMatrix/Avient customers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Each region within the EMEA area operates a ‘sales cell’ structure where a Regional Account Manager, ADTS Engineer and Customer Service Sales Support Representative work together to deliver the overall regional sales budget.
The ADTS Engineer is mainly responsible for; converting new customers to ColorMatrix/Avient metering systems and products, conducting new product and equipment trials (internal and external), attending customer sites for maintenance visits, technical and commercial meetings, problem solving, training, refurbishing equipment and managing complaints as required.
The role is home office based with between 60-80% travel to customer sites. This will include customers located in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is keen to learn and develop both their technical and commercial skills. On the job as well as internal and external training is given as part of the growth and development of the successful candidate.

Essential Functions
Participation in the development of:
- New customers
- New products/applications
- New equipment lines
On-site Technical Service/support Including
- Manage product trials
- Equipment audits/maintenance
- Customer stock control support
- Safety analysis
- Data analysis
- Customer training
- Process optimization
- Complain management
Remote Support Including
- Project planning
- Trial planning/preparation
- Technical support – email, telephone
- Communication of all customer interactions (Internal written technical reports)
- Project planning for high value sales opportunities
- Management and resolution of customer complaints/technical issues
Commercial management of allocated customers within the sales region including:
- Arranging specific product samples
- Preparation of a written product trial plan
- Selection of the correct equipment items for the specific application
- Efficient planning of travel and work schedule
- Attendance and input at weekly 'cell' meeting and implementation of subsequent actions
- First point of contact for customer quality issues and recommendations on the next steps to the 'cell'
- Demonstrating ColorMatrix/Avient values on-site with customers
- Continuous learning of product knowledge and liquid systems
- Education of customers on ColorMatrix/Avient products and their benefits
- Completion of Technical reports with customer sign off
- Manages successful resolution of customer complaints/issues.
Education And Experience
- Bachelors-Chemical Engineering or Equivalent Experience
- Minimum of five years direct relevant work experience
- Ability to operate independently
- Problem solver
- Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Flexible and willing to travel
