We’re looking for a taxonomist to join our small, central team. You’ll help bring coherence to our experience and accuracy to classification by applying your expertise in information structures. This is a role that will collaborate closely with partners in Editorial, Engineering, Product Management, Editorial Systems Platform and beyond. This role helps ensure discovery is effective, safe, culturally relevant and enjoyable for our users.

Who you are
Have a degree in library or information science
Experience developing taxonomies
Background in media
Experience using book publishing industry schemas (BISAC, Thema)
Familiarity with taxonomy management platforms using standards (RDF)
Comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple timezones
