The Director, Software Content supports content and compliance strategies and regulations for the tax.com division. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent leadership abilities. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in VAT and European indirect taxes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish compliance procedures and requirements to ensure content adheres to relevant laws and regulations.
Develop strategies for sourcing, monitoring, and reviewing content to maintain regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with other departments, such as content, product, and engineering, to achieve shared goals.
Stay informed on proposed legislation and market trends to anticipate changes and ensure timely notification of updates to a development team.
Assist with providing VAT compliance requirements to development.
Partner with legal, risk, operations, and technology teams to detect and prevent non-compliance.
Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
Develop, update, and communicate compliance policies and procedures.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry developments.

Experience working both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet research.
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Pro is a plus.
