Job Summary:
Forcepoint is growing and we are looking for a results-oriented, proactive Business Development Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment to help accelerate our demand generation efforts. The Business Development Manager will be an impactful member of the Go to Market Team, leading a team of BDR’s generating net-new opportunities & pipeline.
You will be responsible for working cross functionally with marketing, sales & product marketing to ensure BDR’s are aligned to meet regional pipeline targets. This is a coaching role where you will infuse energy to empower, train, develop and mentor the BDR team to optimize performance while nurturing future sales representatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hire, onboard & develop the business development team with a focus on delivering quality sales opportunities that progress to closed won business
Run daily operations, ensuring a high energy environment with adherence to KPI metrics and best practice processes
Deliver on-the-spot coaching to BDRs to engage decision makers, qualify opportunities, overcome objections and gain commitment to next steps
Liaise with marketing on upcoming campaigns and lead flow to ensure performance consistency
Maintain a strong alignment with sales on GTM strategies, BDR performance and pipeline acceleration
Optimize use of BDR sales & marketing tools to innovate working practices including Salesforce, 6Sense, Cognism, Hubspot Sales, Conversational Email, Ambition, etc
Report on team and individual metrics, providing recommendations to enhance processes and performance
Forecast, measure, analyze and report on the impact of campaign demand creation activities for sales pipeline, bookings and conversion against pipeline goals
Project manage end-to-end programs to drive BDR, demand generation & regional marketing activities
Required Skills/Abilities:
A team player with a positive attitude & cross-functional leadership skills
Proven track record of hiring, training and managing BDR teams to exceed sales targets
Passion for training, coaching, mentoring and developing talent
Experience writing BDR email content & enablement kits
Strong understanding of metrics related to marketing & BDR functions, with the ability to analyze the data and translate into action
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while being adaptable to change
Excellent communicator (written & verbal) with proven ability to project manage from inception to execution
Knowledge of Salesforce, 6sense, Cognism, Outreach/ Salesloft/ Hubspot, Regie.ai, and other AI driven and automation based prospecting tools required
Education and Experience:
2+ years of previous management experience
4+ years of BDR experience
Experience with the information security industry preferred
Work environment
Less than 25% travel time expected for the position, to any of our global locations, some travel is overnight.
Forcepoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary and variable compensation range for this role is 151,000.00 - 180,000.00 and represents the low and high end of compensation for this position. Actual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Forcepoint’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
