Seeking an experienced project manager / account executive who is responsible for overseeing a number of different types of projects with internal and external customers. They will lead the project from initiation to close, hiring subcontractors, working with vendors and tracking the supply of equipment and materials. This person should be knowledgeable about regulations, permits and project management methodology. They should also work well with others, be highly organized and detail-oriented, meet deadlines and strive to stay within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated cost by collaborating with internal, pre-order stakeholders.
  • Work with Operations team (internal) to gather necessary paperwork to place orders with respective factories, contractors, and customers.
  • Accurately manage the project budget by tracking project and purchase orders. Maintain updated overall project costs and margins throughout completion and closeout of the project.
  • Create project plan for projects which communicates the timeline for the equipment including deliveries, mobilizations, and expected completion dates. Provide up to date schedules as the project progresses and continually communicate with the customer, Watts team, and contractors.
  • Communicate a clear scope of work and expectations for any sub-contractors or service providers working on the project and make sure it aligns with Customer expectations.
  • Maintain updated project files in the Engage team shared drive.
  • Negotiate with various contractors and external vendors on behalf of Watts to create profitable contracts or change orders.
  • Communicate the status of the project to key stakeholders by providing regular progress reports.
  • Interact with factory/office personal on the status of equipment orders, invoices, and issues.
  • Work and communicate with internal teams on any warranty issues that may arise and successfully correct the issue.
  • Interact with 3rd party sales representatives and Watts sales teams as necessary to successfully complete the project.
  • Attend and be involved in weekly team update meetings,
  • Have solid understanding of how to read blueprints and constructions drawings.
  • Collaborate with internal Engineering, Operations and Project Management teams.
  • Make site visits to meet with customer and/or contractor, inspect installation progress and/or verify completion.
  • Prevent injuries and project risks by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites, reporting safety regulation issues promptly,
  • Collaborate with external customers with on-going and future business development opportunities and projects.
  • Support internal programs and projects to expand WAS offerings.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, management, or related fields is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in construction/project management; 10 years preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and entire building process, including codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks a plus.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using construction or project management software preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills.

MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISON:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear.
  • Lifting (approx. 25 lbs) climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operating motor vehicles; and ability to operate power and/or hand tools.

WORK ENVIROMENT:

  • Travel required to jobsites/meeting locations.
  • Estimated travel is about twice per month but will vary with load and project types.
  • Primary office will be remote but must be able to work in office environments and manufacturing environments.
  • Work in various types of mechanical and electrical service rooms and be comfortable around operating mechanical equipment.
