Business Data + Analytics Analyst

The Portfolio Business Data & Analytics Analyst is a critical role that will support building the foundation for how Suntex approaches analytics, insights, and reporting for our rapidly growing business. You will create reporting and uncover data-driven insights to ensure growth across product lines within the portfolio. This is an amazing role for someone who is intellectually curious, a strategic and tactical thinker with a highly analytical mind, and looking to make an impact on the business.

This role is accountable for data integrity, accuracy, collection, and organization, as well as the creation and interpretation of data and reports. The ideal candidate has an affinity for quantifying and measuring the success of business performance across product lines through KPI reporting.

This individual will support multiple projects and be integral in developing new analytical tools and processes.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Translate high-level business objectives into measurable business performance intelligence reports and dashboards
• Support the creation of the reporting and analytics architecture & framework to ensure consistency in tracking, measurement, and reporting across products within the portfolio
• Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards, and reporting tools used by executives and operational teams to manage the business and make data-driven decisions
• Conduct data analysis efforts to identify trends and patterns and recommend ways to improve
• Build a deep understanding of property business development and operational goals and objectives 
• Lead cross-functional & cross-product projects using advanced data analysis techniques to identify insights that will guide strategic decisions
• Develop consistent methods for data collection
• Review, analyze, and recommend solutions to end-user reporting requests
• Coordinate and facilitate work across cross-functional teams (Revenue, Circle of Boating, Technology, Operations, and other key business partners), to elicit detailed business requirements
• Conduct walkthroughs and reviews of deliverables and facilitate approvals from key stakeholders
• Build strong relationships with internal teams to understand the reporting needs
• Architect the visualization & delivery of reporting with actionable insights to fuel continuous optimization & testing
• Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

Things That Should Be In Your Background

• Bachelor's degree required; Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent quantitative fields.
• 1-2 years of experience delivering analytics solutions within a data-driven environment with experience managing analytics, processes, and reporting
• Excellent Excel, SQL, or MS Access skills required and experience with data visualization tools or packages. Proficiency with Foundry is highly preferred.
• Strong technical experience with reporting systems and efficient data pipeline architecture
• 1-2 years of experience in reporting and analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets
• Understanding of data sources, research methods, and applied statistics, including causal modeling, time series analysis, and data mining techniques
• Direct experience with KPIs measurements, reporting, and analytics
• Experience building tiered (exec/senior/project/tactical) reporting & analytics practices
• Strong organizational and work management skills
• Self-motivated with a process improvement mindset and the ability to understand the big picture, but also break that down into smaller actionable steps.
