The Team

We are passionate about making peoples’ voices heard by creating exciting and useful content based on in-depth, accurate market research, and about delivering that to people in the best way possible. We have a global panel of over 26m people, allowing us to gather data on likes and dislikes, political opinions, what worries them, and much more. We are responsive to current events – ensuring decision-makers and business leaders always have accurate, timely, information.

Our mission is to supply a continuous stream of free-to-access, accurate data and insights into what the world thinks, so that companies, governments and institutions can better serve the people and communities that sustain them and to be a valued public resource used by hundreds of millions of people daily, enabling intelligent decision-making and informed conversations.

  • Build – Shadow product managers to understand the process of identifying and prioritizing work within YouGov's product ecosystem
  • Assist – Support the creation of user stories, success criteria, and UAT criteria under the guidance of senior team members
  • Observe – Gain insight into the prioritization process, balancing customer value, business value, and technical considerations
  • Contribute – Support the squad of engineers and designers in their daily activities, learning about Agile methodologies and product development processes
  • Communicate – Participate in team meetings, learning to articulate ideas clearly and concisely

These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:

Knowledge and experience

  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies (coursework or personal projects)
  • Basic understanding of content publishing and SEO concepts
  • Keen interest in data-driven decision making and market research
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Technical skills and qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of project management tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Slack, Zoom etc

Behavioural competencies

  • Enthusiastic team player with a willingness to learn and contribute
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong curiosity and desire to understand user needs and product development
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

This junior role aligns with YouGov's commitment to innovation and data-driven decision-making. It offers an opportunity to contribute to the company's mission of supplying accurate data and insights into what the world thinks and does, while learning about product management in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
