*Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.

What you'll do:

  • Lead complex, cross-functional technical initiatives across product engineering teams.

  • Collaborate with engineering leaders to define, scope, and sequence major technical initiatives and projects.

  • Develop and execute holistic strategies for product development and delivery.

  • Create and maintain program roadmaps, aligning technical milestones with business objectives.

  • Lead cross-functional coordination and planning for multiple complex engineering projects, acting as the glue between product, engineering, and business organizations.

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resourcing strategies for technical projects and initiatives.

  • Manage project planning, execution, and delivery throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Identify and coordinate interdependencies among programs, products, and critical initiatives.

  • Drive resource allocation and capacity planning across engineering teams.

  • Implement and optimize program management processes and methodologies.

  • Develop and manage systems, processes, and tools to support technical program management and increase team productivity.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering, product, and stakeholder teams.

  • Mitigate risks and resolve blockers to ensure successful program outcomes.

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success.

  • Provide clear and transparent reporting on program status, issues, and risks to executives and stakeholders.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, rigor, and continuous improvement on the technical program management team.

You:

  • Have 7+ years of experience in technical program management or related roles.

  • Possess strong technical acumen and the ability to understand complex systems and architectures, with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).

  • Are proficient in program management  tools (e.g., Jira).

  • Are adept at breaking down complex projects into manageable tasks and timelines.

  • Have a track record of delivering large-scale technical programs on time and within budget.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Are experienced in risk management and mitigation strategies.

  • Have exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to influence without authority, build cross-organizational support, cooperation, and action around initiatives and process adoption.

  • Have a high threshold for navigating ambiguity and are able to balance setting strategic priorities with rapid, high-quality execution.

  • Are proactive, driven, and thrive in unstructured environments, with a passion for bringing order to chaos.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.

  • Familiarity with data analytics and metrics-driven decision-making.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.

  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles and their impact on product development.

  • Experience with product lifecycle management tools.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in tech industries (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

  • Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM.
