About the Role:
As the Product Payments Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the payments product suite to deliver smooth, secure, and efficient payment processes for our users. Your focus will be on developing and refining payment solutions that enhance the customer journey, boost conversion rates, and meet both market demands and compliance requirements. Working closely with teams across Product, Engineering, Risk, Fraud, and Compliance, you will help provide innovative and secure payment options.

Additionally, you’ll play a crucial role in aligning strategic projects with operational needs, functional requirements, and regulatory standards, as well as managing the payment technical backlog. Collaborating with the tech team, you’ll identify solutions, conduct product testing, and drive continuous optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • PSP Account Management: Serve as the primary contact for existing and upcoming payment providers, including negotiating and managing contracts for  a portfolio of PSPs.
  • Payment System Analysis: Perform comprehensive evaluations of payment infrastructure, including gateways, merchant accounts, and third-party providers.
  • Stakeholder Support: Serve as a resource for internal teams, addressing inquiries related to meeting business and regulatory requirements for payments.
  • Optimization and Evaluation: Conduct regular reviews of payment performance metrics,  identifying improvement areas and providing data-driven recommendations for optimization 
  • Research and Integration: Research emerging payment methods, assess feasibility, and lead the  integration based on customer needs, market trends, and compliance.
  • Issue Escalation and Coordination: Act as the primary contact for payment providers and handle payment-related issues, collaborating with the Risk and Fraud manager as necessary.
  • User Journey Monitoring: With a customer-centric approach, monitor and enhance the user journey through the cashier, using data to boost cashier performance.
  • Onboarding New Payment Solutions: Support onboarding of new payment methods to meet business needs, working closely with the payments tech team to ensure timely delivery and support.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about new payment solutions and industry trends through research and networking.
  • Legal and Compliance Collaboration: Work with legal and compliance teams to implement necessary changes and stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in a product management role, with a focus on payments in the iGaming industry or a related sector (e.g., fintech, e-commerce).
  • Payment Systems Knowledge: Strong knowledge of payment gateways, payment processors, alternative payment methods, and currency management specific to iGaming markets.
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of API integrations, payment processing workflows, and back-office payment system functionalities. Experience working closely with technical teams on integrations and troubleshooting.
  • Commercial Acumen: Experience in negotiating and managing contracts
  • Data Analysis Skills: Proficient in data analysis, using tools like SQL, Tableau, or Google Analytics to track payment performance metrics, identify trends, and drive optimizations.
  • Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with AML, KYC and other regulatory standards related to payments in the iGaming industry.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and present complex payment insights clearly.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple projects with competing priorities, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with iGaming payment platforms
  • Familiarity with fraud prevention strategies and tools
