Miaplaza is currently looking for 4-5 Curriculum Developer Interns to join us over the summer. The Curriculum Developer Internship Program is a unique opportunity designed to provide you with essential business insights and hands-on experience while contributing to Miaplaza’s innovative approach to education. You can expect to devote about 80% of your time to role specific projects. The other 20% of your time will be spent on job specific training, professional development, and personalized coaching and feedback sessions.

What you’ll do (responsibilities may include):

You will learn to develop and support the development of a variety of learning materials for a K-12 student audience, including:
- Asynchronous instructional activities
- Multiple-choice assessment items
- Educational video scripts or supplemental help videos
Perform quality assurance checks on soon-to-be released curriculum materials
Assist in the creation and implementation of customer seminars
Assist in the development of a standards-based curriculum organizational system
Participate in various synchronous and asynchronous professional development and training activities

Schedule:

The 2025 Curriculum Developer Internship program is an 8-week commitment from June 9, 2025 through August 1, 2025.
We offer both full-time and part-time internship opportunities.

Full-time interns are expected to have 30-40 hours of availability each week. This range of hours is designed to offer flexibility in your schedule, and there is ample work available!
Part-time interns are expected to work 15-20 hours per week.

What your day-to-day schedule looks like is mostly up to you! You will be expected to attend 2-5 virtual meetings per week that will take place during normal business hours.

What you’ll learn (knowledge and skills to be developed):

Upon completion of Miaplaza’s Curriculum Developer Internship Program, you will develop the following knowledge and skills:

Comprehensive understanding of the Curriculum Developer role and its responsibilities at Miaplaza
Ability to develop strong learning objectives and design instructional materials aligned to those objectives
Ability to apply K-12 distance education best practices to create asynchronous instructional materials that are clear, accessible, inclusive, and engaging
Proficiency in Miaplaza’s company-wide processes and workflows for effective curriculum creation
