Job description

Razor is looking for an experience Enterprise Architect specializing in API Governance and Healthcare to support a full time, remote, contract to hire opportunity with our healthcare client, HealthFirst. iThe Enterprise Architect specializing in API Governance wll strive to drive the development and maturity of its API management initiatives. This role focuses on influencing teams, establishing governance frameworks, and ensuring APIs are treated as strategic products with consistent standards across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement API governance frameworks to improve API management maturity.
  • Advocate for treating APIs as products, ensuring consistency and standardization across autonomous teams.
  • Consult with development teams to drive best practices in API design, security, and lifecycle management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, facilitating discussions ( "therapy sessions ") to guide teams toward effective API adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product owners, engineering teams, and business leaders.
  • Monitor and evaluate API performance, usage metrics, and adherence to governance standards.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or API management roles, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong understanding of API design, governance, and product management principles.
  • Hands-on experience with API platforms like MuleSoft, Apigee, or Kong.
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills, with the ability to influence and guide teams.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR) is a plus.
