Bilingual Medical Biller - Spanish

MedVA, a leading virtual assistant company in the healthcare sector, is in search of a talented Bilingual Medical Biller - Spanish to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will not only be responsible for managing billing processes but also for effectively communicating with Spanish-speaking patients and providers. Your expertise will play an essential role in ensuring smooth and accurate billing operations while enhancing customer satisfaction by addressing their inquiries in their preferred language.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify accuracy of medical billing documents
• Assign appropriate billing codes and modifiers
• Submit claims electronically to insurance companies
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing issues
• Handle patient billing inquiries and disputes in both English and Spanish
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and requirements
• Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and team members

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year experience as a Medical Biller (RCM)
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Proficiency in medical billing software and EMR/EHR systems

• Strong understanding of medical coding and billing practices (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Experience in claims and denials management

• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement procedures

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Medical-related courses preferred but not required
• Associate degree in Medical Billing or a related field preferred
