Job description

BrainHi is actively seeking talented Interface Engineers to enhance our integration solutions within the healthcare technology space. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining seamless interfaces between our platforms and external systems, ensuring robust data flow and interoperability. As an essential member of our engineering team, you will work to implement standards such as HL7 and FHIR, optimizing our interface solutions and contributing to the overall efficiency of healthcare data exchange.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Interface Engineer to take charge of our integrations engine, ensuring seamless connectivity between our core product and external systems. This role is critical to maintaining and expanding our integration capabilities, including HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare interoperability standards. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing integrations that facilitate efficient data exchange across various platforms.

    • Lead and manage the integrations engine, ensuring efficient and reliable data flow between systems.
    • Design, develop, and maintain interfaces using standards like HL7, FHIR, and APIs to connect with third-party applications (e.g., Meditech, eCW).
    • Optimize and troubleshoot existing integrations to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, and customer success) to define integration requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
    • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues, implementing improvements where necessary.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies to enhance our integration capabilities.
    • Provide technical support for integration-related issues and work with external vendors when needed.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineer o Computer Science
    • 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on system integrations.
    • Proficiency in HL7, FHIR, REST APIs, and data transformation tools (e.g., Mirth, Redox, or equivalent).
    • Experience working with healthcare systems like Meditech, eCW, or Epic is a strong plus.
    • Strong knowledge of data mapping, ETL processes, and interoperability standards.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and JavaScript.
    • Experience with cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in interface development or systems integration within the healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency with integration standards such as HL7 and FHIR, as well as experience in API development.
  • Familiarity with data mapping tools and ETL processes to ensure accurate data transfer.
  • Strong understanding of relevant programming languages, such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of database systems and cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
