We are in search of a seasoned Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. With over 7 years of experience in the field and proven management capabilities, you'll be at the helm of ensuring the excellence and dependability of our software products. Your primary focus will be on strategic test planning, overseeing both manual and automated testing efforts, mentoring QA team members, and liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality software deliverables.
Key Responsibilities 🚀
- Leadership and Mentoring: Mentor and guide QA team members, ensuring best practices are followed. Review and approve test plans, foster collaboration, and support hiring and training efforts.
- Strategic Test Planning and Execution: Work with stakeholders to develop and execute strategic test plans. Ensure test execution aligns with organizational goals and QA standards.
- Advanced Manual and Automated Testing: Oversee manual and automated test execution, ensuring critical paths are covered. Lead automation efforts using JavaScript-based frameworks for backend and frontend testing.
- Continuous Improvement: Enhance testing methodologies, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and drive the adoption of new tools and best practices for efficiency and quality.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide clear test reports and updates to stakeholders. Ensure alignment on testing objectives across cross-functional teams for software quality assurance.
Minimum qualifications 🤓
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Over 7 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing, including test automation and at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proficient in designing strategic test plans and overseeing both manual and automated testing efforts.
- Experience in mentoring and leading QA teams towards achieving organizational and project objectives.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript-based testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Cypress, CodeceptJS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their integration with automated tests.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative working environment.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), and a strong understanding of the Agile development process.

How you’ll work remotely
This is a fully remote position with flexibility in working hours. However, to ensure smooth collaboration with the team, you will be expected to overlap a minimum of four hours with New Zealand Time (NZT) each day. Additionally, you will need to attend key sprint meetings, particularly on Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM NZT, to stay aligned with the team's progress and objectives.
