Job Role: Civil Estimator

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Salary range: 1,500 - 2,000 AUD/month

Setup: Full-time, permanent remote job, Independent Contractor Agreement

Role Overview: We’re looking for a Civil Estimator to join our team and help price and bid on government infrastructure projects. If you’ve got a sharp eye for detail, strong costing skills, and experience in civil construction, this could be the perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and public works.
  • Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to develop competitive bids.
  • Sourcing and negotiating pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Identifying potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options.
  • Collaborating with project managers and engineers to refine estimates and ensure feasibility.
  • Assisting with bid submissions and ensuring compliance with government procurement requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in civil estimating, preferably for government infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (such as SimPro and GroundPlan, or similar) and Excel.
  • Ability to perform detailed take-offs accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
