Short description:


The SaaS Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through sales and business development initiatives for Hexagon’s cloud solutions and enterprise platforms. This role focuses on developing new customer accounts, expanding relationships with existing clients, and implementing business strategies to position Hexagon’s software solutions in the manufacturing and industrial sectors. The manager will oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and ongoing customer engagement. As the business matures, the candidate will have an opportunity to grow into the sales track or the business development track based on the career interest.


This is an individual contributor role.


Tasks in detail:


Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve sales targets for SaaS solutions and enterprise platforms, ensuring quarterly and annual revenue goals are met.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities by engaging with enterprise and strategic accounts.
  • Present solutions to C-level executives and senior management, demonstrating the value of SaaS platforms.
  • Plan and prioritize activities such as customer visits, solution demos, RFP responses, proposal presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure high forecast accuracy (within 10% of reported sales) using Salesforce Opportunity Management.


Business Development & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a business strategy to expand Hexagon’s market position in SaaS and XaaS platforms.
  • Identify key market trends, customer needs, competitive positioning and industry challenges to shape strategic business plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Work closely with the Enterprise and Strategic Account teams to develop and refine go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
  • Align SaaS business models with regional and global objectives, ensuring scalability across large enterprise accounts.


Customer Engagement & Account Management

  • Engage with customers to understand their challenges and position Hexagon’s full portfolio of solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, product, and service teams to ensure customer success.
  • Oversee customer onboarding and ensure timely contract renewals.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote Hexagon’s solutions.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree or other relevant qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, business development, or strategic management in a global organization.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing successful go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience selling to executive management and C-level stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business planning, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage complex relationships within a matrix organization.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Travel: Up to 50% regional travel.
