The Vacancy

Binnies an RSK Group Company are are delighted to offer the chance to join the growing Operations and Maintenance Excellence Team. You will get the opportunity to work on interesting and varied Operational Excellence and Maintenance Excellence for our clients across the UK in a variety of Sectors.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a thriving team that delivers real value into clients. We’re looking for professionals who have experience in either operations and maintenance best practice, including (but not limited too) some of the areas of expertise below;

  • Reliability Centred Maintenance
  • Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
  • Failure Mode Effect Analysis
  • Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and Work Execution Management.


The team drive effective risk management, optimising operational expenditure and bring best practice to their clients by focusing on 4 key areas.

  • Data Driven Operations and Maintenance
  • Asset Care Excellence & Root Cause Analysis
  • Reliability Strategy Development
  • Capital Needs Assessment and Asset Data Capture


About The Role

Your key areas of input will be to help create and implement the standards, processes and systems that will help our clients obtain the maximum value and efficiency from their assets covering:

  • Evaluating performance of assets and identifying improvements
  • Assessing effectiveness of existing operational and maintenance activities and identifying/recommending improvements
  • Ability to support change through both written and verbal communication, including but not limited too development of shadow boards, documentation of ways of working, documentation and improvement of business processes and development of training.
  • Support Clients through delivery of transformative Operations and Maintenance projects


Essential Requirements

Will have experience and knowledge across a range of clean or wastewater treatment processes and associated networks, or alternatively experience within other operational and maintenance roles outside of the Water industry (e.g. Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Renewables etc.)

You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:

  • Technical or Engineering Qualification or Membership (ONC, HNC, Degree, Membership of Institutions (IAM, CIWEM, IMECHE ,etc,)
  • Time served or highly experienced in operations and maintenance environment for at least 5 Years


Desirable Requirements

  • Lean Six Sigma Qualification (E.G. LSSGB)
  • Certified Reliability Leader/SMRP/ARP-E
  • Experience in asset health/condition monitoring
  • Asset Management Qualification (Certificate, Diploma or similar)
