About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer focused on improving the performance, features, and design of our core product. You will be part of a team focussed on delivering a seamless payment checkout experience to our users.

What You’ll Do

  • Define the scope, objectives, and approach for testing during the tech scoping of new features, identifying risks and necessary resources.
  • Engage in the software development lifecycle right from start to identify potential issues and improve product quality.
  • Verifying design specifications to understand the function and scope of a change request, and creating the necessary test scenarios and test data
  • Develop and maintain well-documented test cases that are easily understandable for developers and other stakeholders.
  • Independently executing test cases manually and evaluating the test results
  • Evaluate and prioritize bugs daily, ensuring timely resolution and proper assignment.
  • Regularly track and report on quality KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and document regression issues and work proactively to mitigate risks.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and suggest enhancements to ensure efficient QA practices.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with developers and product teams.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and documentation. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or similar.
  • Basic programming/scripting knowledge for test automation.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
