Volkswagen Group of America’s 10 – week Summer Internship Program targets undergraduate students entering their Junior or Senior years who are eager to acquire practical, real-world experience in the automotive industry. Program Information

  • 10-week Summer Internship Start Date (non-negotiable): June 2, 2025
  • Program Duration: June 2, 2024 – August 8, 2025

This role is a fully remote position; however, the selected candidate must be located in Northern Virginia.

Role Summary

As the Southeast Region After Sales Strategy Intern, you’ll travel with Fixed Operations Managers (FOMs) to observe dealership operations and understand the overwhelming number of competing tasks and requests they manage. Your role will focus on analyzing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and developing a system to prioritize what truly matters, ensuring FOMs can maximize the time they spend with their dealers on what matters most, improving our customer’s experience.

Role Responsibilities

  • Analyze the volume of requests and determine which tasks drive the most impact.
  • Develop a prioritization framework to help leadership and FOMs focus on high-value activities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline administrative work through automation or delegation.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve workflow efficiency and task management.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • A rising college Junior, Senior or recent graduate
  • Strong GPA
  • Strong preference for business, operations or other related majors

Skills

  • Microsoft skills, analytical and logical thinking and problem solving.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Interest in process optimization and automotive operations.
