Job description

Develop and maintain fishery management tools as well as policy and regulatory instruments to support the management of Queensland's freshwater fisheries.
Provide high level advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding Queensland's freshwater fisheries.
Manage Queensland's Stocked Impoundment Permit Scheme (SIPS).
Enhance and maintain recreational fishing opportunities, particularly in freshwater, through improved fish stocking strategies and stakeholder engagement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships and consult with peers, staff, clients, researchers, government agencies and other key stakeholders for the management of Queensland's freshwater fisheries.
Represent Fisheries Queensland on working groups, conferences and workshops.
