The Job In Short

Lead, coordinate and manage all Third-Party relationships at a global level, either licensing-in or licensing-out products, to fill portfolio gaps with value added products from 3rd parties enabling early entrance for protected products, while optimizing production capabilities.

The position reports to the EVP Portfolio & Innovation and Product and is a member of the P&I Leadership Team.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design all global 3rd Party strategic plans to create alliances with other industry players intended to fill portfolio gaps and/or optimize production capacity
  • Lead global third-party negotiations and contract execution, making sure the objectives are achieved under a proper internal preparation
  • Define, manage, and revise on an ongoing basis the strategy per company, prioritizing activities and managing interactions with them, while preventing and addressing potential conflicts
  • Secure engagement, buy-in, and agreement of internal key stakeholders through regular updates about negotiations and pre-signing approvals; key stakeholders include Management, Clusters, Legal, P&I, Supply Chain)
  • Drive execution of signed global contracts (evaluated at nearly $1.5B at peak, and growing)
  • Lead representation of ADAMA in Syngenta Group portfolio conversations
  • For Core Leap AIs - define specific strategies and approach required with various third-party companies, either for supply and data collaboration or only data collaboration
  • Lead relationship development with Japanese companies, to ensure continuous, long-term trust which will lead to fruitful collaborations
  • Organize, develop, and continuously improve the process by using the existing system “end to end”, allowing proper implementation of the agreements by different functions, especially Global Operations
  • Ensure meeting minutes with third parties are well prepared and shared
  • Ensure all relevant information from discussions of ongoing negotiations with third-party is well documented in a fully updated “master table”
  • Lead a team of 2 Third-Party Key Account Managers (direct reports), and guide regional Third-Party Relations leads.



What You’ll Bring With You – Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Relevant Academic degree (Agronomy/Biology or Business)
  • At least 15 years of industry experience in relevant roles and multiple disciplines
  • Proven experience and expertise in negotiations, including managing relationships with multinational players in a multi-national environment (over 10 years)
  • Knowledgeable about the global regulatory environment and rules applied to crop protection.
  • Broad and deep knowledge about negotiation processes, from defining objectives and strategy to executing strong preparation and closing, culminating with agreement
  • Good understanding of marketing, portfolio, and project management in the Ag Industry
  • Analytical skills and strong execution discipline
  • High level of strategic orientation, ability to manage relationships in senior levels
  • Ability to proactively predict problems and anticipate solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to influence others
  • Excellent listener with ability to understand each other’s needs focusing on collaborative solutions
  • Strong understanding of contract terminologies and ability to interpret them
  • Native English speaker or equivalent - a must; additional languages - advantage
