About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice President of Finance with a strong background in public SaaS companies to join NinjaOne’s executive team. As a key member of our leadership team, reporting to the CFO, you are responsible for overseeing our financial strategy, performance, and planning. Your focus will be on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) that drives successful financial forecasting, reporting, and strategic insights, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term growth objectives. This role requires expertise as a senior financial leader in a public SaaS company, with deep knowledge of critical SaaS metrics, financial forecasting, and reporting in a highly regulated, publicly traded environment.

Location - We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the USA and reside in one of the following states - CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, *IL, KS, ME, MA, NJ, NC, OR, TX and VA. We have physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL, if you prefer a hybrid option.

What You’ll Be Doing

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Drive financial insights and support data-driven decision-making across all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and refine financial planning processes, forecasting models, and reporting systems to enhance financial visibility across the business.
  • Lead the development and management of the annual budgeting process, ensuring it aligns with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Build and oversee financial models and detailed forecasts, providing insights into revenue trends, operational efficiency, capital allocation, and profitability.
  • Analyze business performance, identify key drivers of financial results, and provide recommendations to optimize performance and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee the quarterly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and effective collaboration with accounting and operations teams.

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and other senior executives, providing financial leadership on key strategic initiatives such as product development, market expansion, future IPO, and M&A opportunities.
  • Lead strategic financial planning, advising on capital-raising efforts, investor relations, and financial reporting for stakeholders.
  • Provide deep insights into SaaS-specific financial metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, Churn, etc.) and use these insights to influence the company’s strategic decision-making and performance.
  • Other duties as needed.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years at a public SaaS company as a VP of Finance or in a similar senior financial role.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling FP&A teams at public SaaS organizations.
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS financial metrics; including, ARR, CAC, LTV, Churn, etc. and others and how they drive company strategy and valuation.
  • Extensive experience in a regulated environment with a strong understanding of SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and public company governance.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior leadership in strategic financial decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, board members, and investors.

This position is  NOT eligible for Visa sponsorship.

  • Due to operational policies, NinjaOne is unable to hire for this role within the city limits of Chicago. We will consider all qualified candidates who reside outside of the city proper or are willing to self-relocate.

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage and PTO. For roles based in California or Colorado, the base salary hiring range for this position is $300,000 to $350,000 per year.
