Bausch + Lomb is seeking a dynamic National Account Manager (NAM) to drive growth by identifying and developing new Strategic Accounts (National, Regional, E-Commerce, Managed Care, etc.) while managing and expanding existing partnerships. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative, industry-leading company and play a key role in shaping our Vision Care business. This role collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, and other key teams to develop and execute business plans that drive sales and market share. The NAM will lead account-specific strategies, programs, and processes to accelerate growth within the Optometry and Ophthalmology industry.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Successfully launch new products to the market and leverage account resources (Co-op, Growth Programs, Custom Signage, Fit Sets) to drive sales and market share expansion.
- Ensure seamless execution of account strategies by working closely with Vision Territory Sales teams by conducting field visits, and co-travels with VTMs and customers for at least 60 days per year to provide insights and support sales initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and executive business plans, including P&L management and sales forecasting.
- Effectively communicate account strategies to the field sales teams and senior management while providing market insights and competitive analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Strategic Accounts, ensuring alignment across supply chain, marketing, finance, and professional teams.
- Engage with Optometrists and Professional leads to drive product adoption and support field execution.
- Serve as primary point of contact for Strategic Account personnel at all levels, driving alignment on sales quotas, category management, promotional programs, and regional strategies.
- Optimize account support resources, including EDI, VMI, category management, and promotions to maximize sales performance and ROI.
- Leverage data analytics to monitor key metrics, forecast consumption, and identify growth opportunities.
We are seeking a candidate with:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required
- 7+ years sales experience (Strategic/National Accounts experience preferred) with documented sales success
- Demonstrated ability to understand and successfully manage account level P&L’s, including revenue, profitability and budgets
- Success operating in a matrix environment, developing strong relationships across functional groups (e.g. sales and marketing) to achieve shared goals and drive initiatives across company/franchises
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of retail channels, professional sales and marketing, brand strategies and competitive products.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders and proven sound business judgment and financial acumen.
- Thorough understanding of sales and marketing, business trends and consumer dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate, prioritize and handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and team interaction skills to allow for maximum influence on key stakeholders
- Domestic Travel required, ability to travel overnight up to 25%
- Demonstrated analytical, collaborative, and consultative abilities
- High digital literacy, including web applications, MS Office and sales database applications per computer proficiency standards.
- Valid driver’s license in state where territory is located, along with clean driving record
