What you can expect:

As a Global Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and delivering sustainability projects that drive Preferred by Nature’s mission. Your focus will be on ensuring effective project implementation, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement, all while maintaining high-quality standards. Upon joining Preferred by Nature, you will have the opportunity to develop and refine your project management skills within a global, mission-driven organization.

Working with us is never routine so the first year you can expect the following areas to be central to your work.

  • Define project scopes, draft implementation plans, allocate resources, and facilitate internal inception workshops to align expectations with stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project partners, funders, and internal teams to ensure smooth collaboration and successful project execution.
  • Monitor project expenses, manage financial disbursements and transfers, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with funder and internal requirements.
  • Track project progress, oversee deliverables, and ensure timely submission of technical, financial, and narrative reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects adhere to Preferred by Nature’s policies, funder requirements, and reporting structures while continuously assessing and improving project workflows.
  • Conduct evaluations, analyze project outcomes, and explore opportunities for project expansion or new initiatives that align with strategic goals.

Your first year with us

Within three months, you will:

  • Gain a deep understanding of Preferred by Nature’s values, global projects, and impact-driven approach.
  • Expand your network by collaborating with colleagues, partners, and funders across regions and sectors.
  • Drive projects from inception to execution, shaping strategies, setting direction, and establishing strong financial and risk frameworks.

Within six months, you will:

  • Keep projects on track, drive execution with precision, and deliver meaningful results.
  • Anticipate risks, adapt strategies, and solve challenges to keep momentum strong.
  • Strengthen partnerships with clear communication while maximizing financial efficiency.

Within one year, you will:

  • Measure success, unlock new possibilities, and push boundaries for future projects.
  • Craft sustainability strategies and expansion plans that keep projects thriving.
  • Drive seamless project closure, ensure compliance, and mentor the next generation of leaders.

Important that you:

  • Have bachelor or master’s degree in Environmental Science & Sustainability Sciences, Social Sciences & Community Development, Business & Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Have at least 10-year experience in Project Management, ideally within the sustainability, environmental, or development sectors.
  • Experience in working with international development aid and other relevant funders
  • Have strong organizational, diplomatic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Have experience with financial and budget management.
  • Possess excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Are comfortable with digital tools, including project management software and data management systems.
  • Are willing to travel as needed to support project implementation.

Would also be great, but not necessary, if you:

  • Have experience working with international teams and stakeholders.
  • Have knowledge of sustainability standards, environmental management, or certification schemes.
