Associate Consultant – Media & Content Analytics

New York City NY, Chicago IL, or USA Remote

This critical role will support the commercialization and delivery of Media and Content related analytic solutions within the Media & Content Analytics Practice.

Role success requires that the team member will be an analytic leader with vision who: (a) ensures each solution presented to clients is aligned with our NA Kantar Analytic strategy and development plan, (b) embraces the unique demands of the North American market and uses the vast resources we have across Kantar. As a key team member on our Analytics team, you are expected to:

  • Have a confident comprehension of our collective offer within Media Insights and Analytics and an understanding of the competitive context
  • Be comfortable working with teammates across the portfolio, applying strong collaboration skills
  • Comprehend the selling points and appropriate applications of a variety of analytic solutions, both custom and standardized
  • Lead high quality delivery through project management and insights into the analytical techniques being used.

While your role has a specialized focus on the Media and Creative solution space, you will continue to guide the Media domain’s Product Leadership team in providing Analytics support for development of next generation Lift solutions and enhancement of the measurement methodology and provide input to help productize these solutions.

To ensure we coordinate with analytics delivery resources in order to enhance operational efficiency and deliver greater profitability levels. To manage projects assigned to you from initial scope, analysis to insight delivery, under the guidance of the senior practice lead. To collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams as needed (media domain client service, operations, product development, on- and off-shore data science teams) in order to deliver integrated and actionable insights. Manage internal and external communications pertinent to delivery of projects.

What you’ll be doing

Project Management

To identify the project delivery specifications, assess critical landmarks and steps, develop the process flow and undertake risk analysis through:

  • Developing the project timelines to achieve business deadlines, identify tasks to be undertaken and allocate tasks to project group to ensure deadlines are met within the agreed timescale, follow up task achievement and initiate remedial action when necessary.
  • Managing or contributing to project meetings to assess feasibility of project, assign allocated resource and review task progress.
  • Producing and sending regular collaborator updates, updating on key landmarks achieved
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key collaborators.

Solution Champion

  • Work with other key team members to identify potential new product development and identify existing solutions requiring review/ improvement.
  • To discuss and assess any proposed new solutions / product improvements with relevant key collaborators in order to ensure maximum success.

The skills & experience needed

We are looking for candidates with 1-3 years of relevant experience with intellectual curiosity, a pioneering mind-set, and an undaunted attitude, who want to make a genuine difference to our clients and the way things are done.

You will be able to demonstrate a strong academic record (ideally with numeric experience), with a positive mix of extracurricular activities. You will be able to craft impactful insights from the synthesis and analysis of data.

  • Enthusiasm for learning, with a strong desire to broaden your knowledge across the digital landscape.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both expert and non-expert audiences
  • Experience manipulating large, complex datasets
  • Ability to translate data into useful insights and engaging stories
  • Skill in responding to open-ended, creative prompts/instructions
  • Experience discussing data-driven recommendations with decision-makers

The salary range for this role in New York is $71,300-$118,800/year.  Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
