Ciena’s IT Applications department is seeking a Jr Project Manager Intern with an interest in learning project management techniques across IT application projects.

They should have an aptitude and affinity for team collaboration and open communication. This individual is both highly analytical and has good writing and presentation skills.

The Must Haves:

Currently be enrolled in a field of study in your Business School (Business Information Technology, Computer Science, or related business or finance major)
Ability to manage efforts with a remote workforce; effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegates
Good listener, with ability to capture issues, and propose solutions
Basic understanding or awareness of prevalent project management methodology
Exercises good judgment with direction from supervisor

Pay Range: The hourly pay range for this position is $21.00 - $33.00

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
