This is a remote position.

Role: Software Developer (Oracle SQL, PL/SQL)

Location: Remote

Contract: 6 Months

I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Texas Education Agency requires the services of 2 Software Developer 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Software Developer 2, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Education Agency.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Education Agency and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law.

Texas Education Agency will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

The Senior Database Developer will perform advanced analysis and development work involving all aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing and optimizing the database performance for a large project.

This position requires strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience, along with extensive experience in performance tuning of stored procs and views.

The developer will also devise approaches to solving complex problems, provide thought leadership, and provide ongoing updates on project status.

This position works for section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System).

Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases.

This role works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports, in the service of Texas’s 1200 school districts.
