Job description

This is a remote position.

40 hours per week

Mon - Fri 8 AM- 5 PM Georgia, US Time includes 1h unpaid break.

Key Responsibilities

Receive incoming consultation requests and route for review or schedule, as appropriate
Manage and update patient schedules for consultations, ensuring timely and accurate appointments.
Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth consultation processes.
Register patients, verify insurance and ensure necessary records are received.
Act as a point of contact for patients and their families, answering questions and providing information about consultations.
Prepare patients for consultations, providing necessary instructions and paperwork.
Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including incoming records and reports.
Ensuring that all necessary documentation, such as medical history and insurance information, is properly filed and accessible.
Ophthamology exerience as a scribe, technician or coder is required.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in healthcare administration or medical office management is a plus.
