The Opportunity
The payments landscape is rapidly evolving. Merchants are raising their expectations, while both national and international regulations are gaining significance. Compliance is more critical than ever and payment schemes are innovating at a quick pace.
In that context, we are looking for a highly motivated Senior Business Development Manager that will build, develop, sign up & implement relationships with new, key international Direct Merchants in the “Digital Business” segment with a focus on subscription business models.
Your permanent target is to develop and execute Vertical and Account Strategies that implement & increase Worldline’s product and services footprint with new Merchants in order to contribute to long-term, value-adding Merchant relationships.

Set up and maintain a Business Development Plan, including prospect lists, events plan, progress,...
Serve as the primary point of contact for identified or assigned prospects and / or customers, understanding their business needs and objectives.
Cultivate and manage relationships with Digital Business prospects and / or customers, ensuring high levels of engagement.
Proactively qualify opportunities with Risk & Consulting to ensure viability
Work closely with the line manager on ongoing opportunities, status, and sales performance metrics.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system, documenting opportunities, progress and outcomes.
Work closely with internal teams, including Indirect Sales, Product, Risk, Consulting and Customer Support to align on client needs and deliver solutions.
Engage in international travel to meet prospects and / or customers, conduct presentations and attend industry events.
Who Are We Looking For
We are looking for a positive, hands-on person that is capable of developing a vision for & with Enterprise Digital Business prospects. This person should be capable of delivering this vision, in collaboration with both internal & external stakeholders and according to Enterprise Governance. In practice this means:
Proven Track Record in High-Value Sales
At least 5 years experience in Enterprise Business Development (focus in Payments, Recurring/Subscription or SaaS required)
Proven sales experience with technical complex solutions and 12+ month sales cycles
Capable of building strategic account plans that drive long term objectives
Persuasive communicator, able to articulate a vision that delivers value
Proactive, self-motivated, capable of anticipating customer needs and risks
International mindset
Used to work in multinational companies with matrix organizations
Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
