Join Worldline Financial Services (Europe) SA (WFS EU SA), a prominent leader in the financial technology sector, dedicated to providing innovative payment and transaction processing solutions throughout Europe. Headquartered in Luxembourg, WFS EU operates as a hybrid payment services provider under the Payment Services Directive (PSD2). We proudly hold a license enabling us to offer payment services across the European Union, working under the supervision of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).
AML Controller
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated AML Controller to join our team. In this critical role, you will oversee and monitor Anti-Money Laundering (AML) obligations in accordance with regulatory requirements, guided by local compliance officers, and aligned with our Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) framework. The primary focus will be to ensure the proper implementation of AML controls and to safeguard the organization from financial crime compliance breaches by thoroughly assessing operational processes, tools, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess WFS EU SA’s AML obligations derived from regulatory requirements to ensure full compliance with guidance from local compliance officers.
- Collaborate closely with local compliance officers on control projects.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive control assessment to ensure AML measures are effectively implemented across the organization.
- Conduct periodic reviews and assessments to verify the adequacy and effectiveness of AML controls.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to establish control mechanisms within operational processes and tools.
- Identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities within the AML framework and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Assess operational processes related to AML compliance to identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend enhancements to streamline AML processes and ensure their efficiency.
- Ensure that processes are well-documented and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on AML compliance status and key performance indicators for the AMLCO of WFS EU SA and the Group Financial Crime Officers.
The AML Controller will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer located within WFS EU SA. This role falls under the responsibility of the Group Chief Compliance Officer – 2nd Line of Defense, overseeing multiple geographies and legal entities.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Legal, Compliance, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- An advanced degree or professional certification in AML/Compliance is required.
- Proven experience in AML compliance and financial crime prevention, preferably within a multinational organization.
- In-depth knowledge of AML regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess compliance risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
