Job description

Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. To support our team in Baar, Switzerland we are looking for a:

Senior Manager, Global New Indications, Learning & Development

The Senior Manager, Global NI L&D is a role that is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and measurement of learning strategies and programs to support the talent development of the New Indications DSS teams in North America, Asia Pacific, and EMEA. The Sr. Manager, Global NI L&D and Ops, will also support the global clinical study programs through strategic planning and learning efforts for the global New Indications team. This is a full-time, exempt, field-based position reporting to the Director, Global New Indications DSS.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support a positive, patient-centric coaching culture, with strong cross-functional collaboration
  • Collaborate with global internal and external cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and resolve opportunities for improvement, meet business requirements and gain alignment on new initiatives
  • Be the subject matter expert on projects and initiatives to provide insight and suggestions to help with efficiency, success measurements/KPIs, materials creation, as needed.
  • Partner with leadership and field trainers to assess and enhance the current educational platform to ensure alignment with the organizations’ objectives, maximize efficiencies, and optimize learning opportunities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive learning plans for the NI patient experience team
  • Oversee the creation, enhancements and execution of NI onboarding programs for new team members
  • Lead creation and execution of professional development learning content materials and ensure consistency across patient-facing functions
  • Focus on optimizing people, processes, and culture to accelerate business performance and promote and foster an inclusive culture where all team members can leverage their unique talents
  • Employ varied methods of learning delivery, training technology, tools, concepts, and practices to accommodate multiple learning styles & information needs & deliver innovative learning approaches
  • Conduct field visits as appropriate to ensure consistency in processes, identify new learning opportunities, and provide real-time coaching
  • Monitor, track, and follow-up with employees and supervisors to ensure that team members complete all educational requirements
  • Assist with management of budgets, expenses, and personnel policies as requested
  • Interview and make hiring recommendations when appropriate

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience
  • 3+ years experience in Learning and Development in a Pharmaceutical or Medical Device setting
  • Experience with CRM systems in a healthcare or medical device setting
  • Amount of required travel will vary, but may require up to 30% travel to Switzerland, Germany or USA
  • Ability to translate technical information to lay audiences
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated passion for helping people learn and grow
  • Proven track record of being a collaborative worker with teambuilding ability
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (minimum Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); advanced training, preferred
