Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Regulatory Licensing Manager to take charge of our Money Transmitter License (MTL) portfolio. This role involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, managing state licensing applications and filings, coordinating reporting submissions, maintaining a comprehensive licensing database, and overseeing compliance audits by regulatory agencies. This position is crucial for upholding the company's regulatory obligations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Application Management
  • Submit money transmitter license applications and advanced change notices.
  • Communicate with state regulators for timely approvals.
Reporting Requirements
  • Manage and submit quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Submit uniform authorized agent reports.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Track and implement changes in licensing requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with surety bond or security requirements.
Examination and Renewal Oversight
  • Manage state regulatory examinations and responses.
  • Oversee annual license renewals.
  • Resolve regulatory issues related to active licenses.
Operational Coordination
  • Collaborate with internal teams for documentation.
  • Address state-reported customer complaints.
Data and Record Management
  • Maintain and update a centralized licensing database.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Compliance, Law, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, license management, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of money transmitter license requirements and state/federal regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience with regulatory reporting and managing licensing applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills, project management, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with regulators and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with compliance software or database management tools, including NMLS, is a plus.
