IT PROJECT MANAGER

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Responsibilities:

Project Governance: Develop and maintain detailed project plans. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets. Collaborate with the PMO team, collaborate with the team to define and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and best practices. Ensure projects align with organizational goals and track performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
Communication and Reporting: Serve as a liaison between project teams and senior management. Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders. Ensure clear and consistent communication across all organizational levels.
Quality Control: Implement continuous quality control measures to uphold standards and drive process improvements. Conduct regular project audits and reviews to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks.
Capacity Planning: Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, finances, and materials, to meet deadlines and ensure efficient resource utilization. Balance resource demands across multiple projects to optimize performance.
Backlog Management: Monitor the progress of backlog items throughout the project lifecycle. Use project management tools and techniques to track completion, identify potential delays, and ensure timely delivery. Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to prioritize backlog items based on business value, urgency, and strategic goals. Ensure alignment with overall project objectives and timelines
Demos and UAT: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and project demos. Gather feedback to ensure project quality and address any concerns or issues.
Project Support: Provide hands-on support for project planning, execution, and closure across various departments. Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and risk management activities.
Performance Evaluation: Assess project performance and offer recommendations for improvements. Implement corrective actions as necessary to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications:

Project Management Experience: 3-5 years of experience managing projects, preferably in the tech, MSP, or SaaS industry. Experience with projects related to software development or IT services is highly valued. Experience as part of PMO is a plus.
Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile project management, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Experience using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Clickup, Asana, Trello) and CRM software (e.g., HubSpot).
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, capable of managing expectations and aligning project goals with business objectives.
Agile Methodology: Experience with Agile development methodologies and user story creation to guide the development process.
