The Vice President, Commercial Contracting will lead and execute Aledade’s Commercial value-based care contracts with national and regional health plans as we support primary care providers shift into value-based care. The role will be focused on negotiating value-based care contracts with health plans and other purchasers for their Commercially insured members (not those covered by Medicare Advantage or Medicaid).
As a senior leader within the Strategic Payer Partnerships team, the VP will actively promote a culture that aligns with Aledade and team values, and will coach and mentor other team members.
We are flexible with geographic location—the ideal candidate can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or from our headquarters in Bethesda, MD.
Primary Duties:
Responsible for Commercial contracting goals and outcomes:Lead the evaluation of prospective payer partnerships, including reading, negotiating and executing value-based care contracts for Commercial members/patientsQualify and source market growth and expansion for multi-year risk arrangementsDevelop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and team members within AledadeManage the Commercial segment within the Strategic Payer Partnerships team, including motivating team members, setting performance goals, career development, annual performance reviews, etc.Overall contracting strategy:Help shape the company's strategy for value-based contracting on behalf of independent primary care practicesMinimum Qualifications:15+ years experience in healthcare with health plans, health systems or provider groups working on contract negotiations within value-based care with a focus on Commercially insured populations7+ years experience managing and leading teamsBachelor’s degreePreferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:Master’s degree or other advanced degrees in management, health services and/or public policy, or other relevant fieldsResults-oriented with the ability to exercise influence to achieve goalsProven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships and communicating effectively with senior managementExpert at business development at local and national level Passionate about driving the shift from fee-for-service to value based careWho We Are:
