Job description

The Company You’ll Join

Amperon is the leading energy forecasting company, positioned at the intersection of energy data and AI. Founded in 2018, Amperon has become a trusted partner to power and utility companies, delivering demand, renewable generation, and price forecasts. With cutting-edge predictive analytics, seamless data integrations, and premium customer support, Amperon enables customers to enhance grid reliability and optimize asset performance. Committed to grid modernization, Amperon is the forecasting company of energy transition.

With a team of more than 100, we’ve achieved global reach while refining our forecasting capabilities and scaling to meet the demands of rapidly growing electricity and renewable energy markets.

Our Mission

Our mission is to forecast the energy transition and empower our customers to shape the future of electrons on grids globally. Our AI-based forecasting software is uniquely positioned to address the challenges of intermittent renewable generation, increasing power demand, and the intensifying impact of extreme weather on the grid.

The Role

As a Product Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams to build impactful solutions to help our customers navigating the energy transition.  Some of your primary responsibilities include:

Discovery & Identifying Growth Opportunities

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer pain points, workflows, and industry trends within the utility grid and forecasting space.
  • Conduct market research, customer interviews, and data analysis to uncover new product opportunities and inform roadmap decisions.
  • Identify and validate growth levers, working closely with the commercial team to align product strategy with business goals.

Facilitating World-Class Execution

  • Translate customer insights into clear, actionable product requirements and roadmaps.
  • Partner closely with engineering to share context and ensure smooth execution, making thoughtful trade-offs and removing blockers.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid iteration, and continuous learning to improve product quality and impact.
  • Drive alignment across product, engineering, design, and business teams through clear communication and collaboration.

Delivering Business Impact

  • Align product roadmaps to larger business and product strategy to maximize impact of delivery efforts
  • Collaborate with Go-To-Market teams to ensure successful product launches
  • Define and measure key success metrics for adoption, engagement, and customer value.
You may be a fit for this role if

You have 3-7 years of experience in product management, ideally in B2B SaaS, energy, or forecasting solutions. Strong track record of customer discovery, translating insights into actionable roadmaps. You have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex systems and prioritize effectively. Strong analytical mindset – comfortable working with data in a complex domain to inform decisions and maximize impact. Familiarity with ML forecasting models, utility grid management, or energy market dynamics is strongly preferred.

Benefits & Perks

While we are serious about our company's culture, we aren't going to force "culture" to prove that we are cool and fun. It’s a company filled with smart, genuinely nice individuals who are passionate about data science, energy and working together to build a product that can have a lasting impact on our planet.

Even though we are a remote company with employees spread across the globe, we still believe human interaction is a good thing. We will also have an all-company event at least once a year so people can get to know each other in a more fun and social way.

  • Competitive salary plus stock option package. Compensation based on geographical location.
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Family planning benefits through Carrot which includes IVF plus preservation treatments, adoption and gender affirming care.
  • Access to mental health services
  • Annual company retreat
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits plus CitiBike annual subscription.
  • 401k

  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Remote

If you are excited about contributing to a product that can have a lasting impact on our planet and you thrive in fast-paced, innovative environments, we would love to hear from you.
